Vidhya Babu

Vidhya Babu is the founder of the Law Office of Vidhya Babu, APC, an estate planning practice in Redwood City, California. She was admitted to the State Bar of California in 2000 and has spent decades guiding families and individuals through estate planning, probate, and trust administration across the Bay Area, particularly in San Mateo County.^[1][2]

Babu graduated cum laude from Boston University with a Bachelor of Arts in 1996 and earned her Juris Doctor from Temple University Law School in 1999. She was a summer associate at the United Nations Office of Legal Affairs in New York City. Before founding her own firm, she was an equity and managing partner at Fox, Shjeflo & Babu for 15 years, after spending eight years there as an associate attorney.^[2]

Her practice focuses on estate planning, trusts, trust administration, and probate, including planning for minor children and pets. The firm serves clients in and around Belmont, South San Francisco, Burlingame, Menlo Park, Pacifica, Palo Alto, San Bruno, San Carlos, San Francisco County, and San Mateo County.^[2]

Babu is a member of the State Bar of California Trusts and Estates Section, the San Francisco County Bar Association, the San Mateo County Bar Association, the Silicon Valley Bar Association, and the American Bar Association, and serves on the scholarship committee of the San Mateo County Bar. She previously served on the board of trustees of Compass High School in Belmont and as PTA president at Central Elementary School, where she received the Honorary Service Award for service to children and youth.^[2]
