Christopher Lott serves as Deputy General Counsel at Duke University [2]. Before joining Duke's Office of Counsel in 2014, Lott worked in the education practice group at Hogan Lovells in Washington, D.C., where he represented universities, school districts, and other companies in the education sector. Earlier, he served as a Team Leader in AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps [2].

Lott is a graduate of the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and Duke University School of Law [2].

Lott currently serves on the Board of Directors of the National Association of College and University Attorneys (NACUA), the principal professional association for attorneys who represent colleges and universities [3].
