Vincent Tong

Vincent Tong is the founder of TONG LAW, P.C., an Oakland, California firm with a second office in Sacramento. He was admitted to the State Bar of California on December 1, 2010, and holds an active license in good standing (bar number 271483) ^[1]. He is admitted to practice before all California state courts and the United States District Courts for the Northern and Central Districts of California ^[2].

Tong represents employees in employment discrimination and wrongful termination disputes, and advises businesses on formation, legal compliance, business transactions, and the protection of intellectual property rights, including trademarks ^[2]. He has completed three jury trials, serving as lead counsel, co-counsel, and second-chair counsel ^[2].

Born in Anhui Province, China, and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Tong graduated at the top of his class from Oberlin College before earning his J.D. at Santa Clara University School of Law, where he received the Best Oral Advocate award, the Thurgood Marshall Civil Rights Scholarship, and a Pro Bono Award, and served as an associate of the Santa Clara Journal of International Law ^[2]. He is bilingual and is the first attorney in his family ^[2].

Tong served as the 2021 President of the Board of Directors of the Alameda County Bar Association and sits on the Executive Board of the California Employment Lawyers Association ^[2]. He provides pro bono legal services through Legal Aid at Work's Workers Rights Clinic and is a member of organizations including the Earl Warren American Inn of Court and the Asian American Bar Association of the Greater Bay Area ^[2].
