Terrence Mark Franklin

Terrence Mark Franklin was admitted to the State Bar of California on December 11, 1989, and holds an active license under bar number 143273 ^[1]. He practices trust, estate, and probate litigation in Los Angeles at Sacks, Glazier, Franklin, Lodise, McMurtrey & Scheerer, LLP, a firm he formed together with Robert Sacks, Kenneth Glazier, and Margaret Lodise; since 2001 the firm has focused solely on trust, estate, and conservatorship litigation, appeals, and dispute resolution involving substantial estates ^[2]. Franklin has handled trial and appellate matters over more than a quarter century of practice, including published appeals and the Moeller case, decided by the California Supreme Court and reported at 16 Cal.4th 1124. He is a graduate of Harvard Law School and received his Bachelor of Science from Northwestern University in 1984. His professional activities include membership in the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and the California Lawyers Association Trusts and Estates Section, and he chaired the USC Gould 52nd Annual Trust and Estate Conference ^[2]. He has been featured in the Los Angeles Business Journal's Who's Who in Law, has appeared as a guest on the ACTEC Trust and Estate Talk podcast, and was recognized by the Los Angeles County Bar Association as a Black History Month honoree ^[2]. His writing includes articles on public speaking in trusts and estates practice and on diversity, culture, and ethics in estate planning ^[2].
