Sharon Hendricks

Sharon J. Hendricks is a partner in the Silicon Valley office of Gunderson Dettmer Stough Villeneuve Franklin & Hachigian, LLP. Her practice focuses exclusively on executive compensation and remuneration, corporate governance, and employee benefits matters. She was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1992.

According to the firm, Hendricks represents and advises emerging growth and public technology companies on executive compensation, employment and benefits matters, equity compensation plans, corporate governance, executive employment and severance arrangements, and insider transaction and restricted securities matters, including in connection with public offerings, M&A, venture financings, and other corporate transactions. She also represents public company board compensation committees and individual executives negotiating employment and separation arrangements.

Hendricks has been recognized by Chambers USA as an employment, benefits, and compensation lawyer, named a Northern California Super Lawyer, and listed in The Best Lawyers in America for Employee Benefits Law. She is a member of the Subcommittee on Employee Benefits, Executive Compensation and Section 16 of the ABA Section of Business Law's Federal Regulation of Securities Committee. She earned her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Chicago Law School and her A.B. in public policy from Duke University, and clerked for two judges of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
