Jeffrey Vetter

Jeffrey Vetter is a partner at Gunderson Dettmer, where he chairs the firm's Public Offerings/Public Companies practice. His practice concentrates on public and private offerings of securities for both issuers and underwriters, mergers and acquisitions, and counseling public and late-stage private companies on corporate governance and other securities law matters.

According to the firm, Vetter has handled nearly 100 IPOs during his career, both as company and underwriter counsel, including offerings for technology companies such as Wish, Facebook, Hims, Barkbox, Workday, Veeva, Pivotal Software, and Zuora, as well as Salesforce and eBay. The firm states his mergers and acquisitions transactions for public and private companies have a total deal value in excess of $40 billion. He has been named 2015 Capital Markets MVP by Law360 and 2012 Attorney of the Year by The Recorder, and is listed annually in directories published by Chambers USA, Legal 500, U.S. News, and Thomson Reuters; the firm also notes his appearance on the Daily Journal's annual list of California attorneys.

Vetter earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, where he was elected to the Order of the Coif, and his B.A. in history, with honors with distinction, from the University of California, Berkeley. He is admitted to practice in California.
