Eric Lechtzin is a founding partner of Edelson Lechtzin LLP, a class action law firm with a San Francisco office that represents consumers, employees, and investors in collective litigation.
Eric Lechtzin was admitted to the State Bar of California in 2007 and is an active licensee in good standing.[1] He is a founding partner of Edelson Lechtzin LLP, a national class action firm headquartered in Philadelphia that maintains an office in San Francisco at 507 Polk Street.[2] Lechtzin and Marc H. Edelson, both longtime class action litigators, joined forces in 2020 to form the firm, which represents consumers, employees, investors, and businesses in collective litigation.[2] His practice focuses on consumer protection and consumer fraud class actions, securities and investment fraud, employee benefits and ERISA matters, and wage and hour litigation.[2] He received his J.D. from the Temple University Beasley School of Law in 1991.[1] Lechtzin has served as the Pennsylvania State Chair for the National Association of Consumer Advocates. In the area of employee benefits litigation, he co-authored an amicus brief to the U.S. Supreme Court in Retirement Plans Committee of IBM v. Jander, 140 S. Ct. 592 (2020). His securities fraud work has included service as lead or co-lead counsel in matters such as In re Transkaryotic Therapies, Inc. Securities Litigation, which settled following class certification. The firm represents clients on a contingency basis and handles matters in state and federal courts nationwide.[2]
