Lisa H. Mattern

Lisa Henderson Mattern was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1995 and holds an active license, Bar Number 177270 ^[1]. She graduated from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles in 1994, where she was a member of the Loyola of Los Angeles Law Review, after earning her B.A. from the University of California, Irvine. Mattern is the managing attorney of The Mattern Law Firm, APC, a criminal defense practice on West Olympic Boulevard in Los Angeles, and has defended clients in criminal matters for more than 25 years in courts across Los Angeles, Orange, Ventura, Riverside, and San Bernardino counties ^[2]. She began her career with the Law Offices of the Public Defender for Riverside County from 1996 to 2000, co-founded Davis & Mattern, LLP in 2000, and later formed Mattern & Mendoza, LLP in 2011. Her defense work spans state and federal courts and has included drug, DUI, fraud, homicide, robbery, gang, and third-strike cases, as well as appeals and post-conviction relief. Mattern is a former temporary judge for the Superior Court of Orange County and a member of the California Public Defenders Association, the Los Angeles County Bar Association, and the California DUI Lawyers Association. Her State Bar self-reported practice areas include criminal law and white collar crime ^[1].
