David Branfman

David Philip Branfman was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1978 and holds an active license under bar number 84295.^[1]

Branfman is a name partner at Branfman Mayfield Bustarde Reichenthal LLP in Carlsbad, a boutique firm founded in 2012 that represents individuals, entrepreneurs, and small to medium-sized businesses in business and intellectual property matters.^[2] His practice concentrates on intellectual property and entertainment law, including trademarks, domain names, copyrights, trade secrets, licensing, motion pictures and television, and music. He has practiced in San Diego County for decades, previously through Branfman & Associates and later Branfman Law Group, P.C.^[2]

Branfman graduated cum laude from Alfred University in New York and received his law degree from the University of San Diego in 1978.^[2]

His civic involvement has included service on the board of directors of the San Diego Music Foundation, chairing the board of the San Diego Film Commission from 1998 to 2000, and roughly two decades as legal chair of the Pacific Southwest Chapter of the National Television Academy.^[2]
