Benjamin S Reccius

Benjamin S. Reccius is a civil litigation attorney in the Los Angeles office of Cruser, Mitchell, Novitz, Sanchez, Gaston & Zimet, LLP, a litigation firm with offices in multiple cities ^[2]. Reccius was born and raised in Los Angeles. He earned his Juris Doctor from Pepperdine University School of Law in 2015 ^[1], along with certificates in dispute resolution and criminal legal practice, and was a member of the school's trial team. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in biological psychology from the University of California, Berkeley, awarded in 2008.

During law school he worked at the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles on housing and impact litigation matters, including representing clients at Housing Authority termination hearings, and later clerked for the Public Defender of Los Angeles County, where he drafted motions in felony matters and worked on resentencing petitions under Proposition 36. He went on to practice as a law clerk and associate attorney at Shevin Law Group in Los Angeles, handling criminal defense and commercial cannabis regulatory matters, and subsequently founded Reccius Law, where he advised cannabis businesses on state and local licensing and compliance and continued to take criminal defense work.
