Andje Medina

Andje Medina is a partner and trial attorney at Altair Law in San Francisco. She was admitted to the State Bar of California on December 3, 2007, and her license is active ^[1]. Her practice concentrates on catastrophic personal injury cases, including traumatic brain injury, spinal cord trauma, nerve damage, fractures, and severe orthopedic injuries arising from construction and industrial accidents, dangerous premises, motor vehicle collisions, wrongful death, sexual assaults, public entity liability, and product liability ^[2].

Medina began her career at a civil defense firm in San Francisco before joining a San Francisco plaintiffs' firm, where she was elevated to lead one of the firm's trial teams. She later left to open her own practice and is now a partner at Altair Law. She is also retained as trial counsel by other attorneys on cases approaching trial ^[2].

She earned her law degree from Golden Gate University School of Law and her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of California, the California Courts of Appeal, and the United States District Courts for the Central, Eastern, Northern, and Southern Districts of California ^[2].

Medina was named Trial Lawyer of the Year by the San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association in 2019 after securing a wrongful death verdict twenty times higher than the final settlement offer ^[3], and was named Best Lawyers in America's 2022 Lawyer of the Year for Product Liability Litigation – Plaintiffs in San Francisco ^[4]. Medina serves on the Board of Directors of the San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association, where she was named Member of the Month in August 2018 and co-chaired the education committee, and on the board of the Consumer Attorneys of California. She is a member of the Bar Association of San Francisco, the American Association for Justice, and the American Bar Association, and is an author and lecturer on trial practice throughout California ^[2].
