Alison Yew

Alison Yew practices U.S. immigration law in San Jose, California, where she heads Yew Immigration Law Group, a P.C., located on North First Street. She is certified as a specialist in immigration and nationality law by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization and has been a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association since 2011.

Yew immigrated from Hong Kong with her family as a child and grew up in Southern California. She graduated from the University of California, San Diego in 1988 with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and earned her Juris Doctor from the University of San Francisco School of Law in 1994, the year she was admitted to the State Bar of California.

For much of her early career, Yew practiced as a civil litigator with extensive trial court experience and was a partner with a national civil litigation law firm, where she developed the firm's immigration law practice group after recognizing her corporate clients' need for immigration-related hiring and employment advice. In 2013, she founded her own practice focusing on business and family immigration. Her California bar license is active and in good standing.
