Patricia Barberis

Patricia Frances Barberis was admitted to the State Bar of California on July 12, 1977, and holds an active license (Bar No. 75257) ^[1]. She founded her Torrance family law firm, Patricia Barberis, A Law Corporation, in 1977 and practices alongside her daughter, attorney Colleen Barberis, who joined the firm in 1997 ^[2].

The firm concentrates exclusively on family law, handling divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support, property division and valuation, and related matters for clients in the South Bay, Long Beach, and Los Angeles County ^[2]. Barberis has tried complex custody and property cases, and the firm's stated approach is to resolve issues by agreement when possible while remaining prepared for trial.

Barberis earned her J.D. from South Bay University's law school ^[1]. She is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association's Family Law Section and the South Bay Bar Association, and previously served as secretary of the South Bay Women's Lawyers Association.
