Mark Karney

Mark Howard Karney was admitted to the State Bar of California on June 6, 1994, holds an active license under bar number 170612, and is certified as a specialist in family law by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization ^[1]. He manages Karney Family Law in Los Angeles, a firm that handles all aspects of family law, including child custody and visitation, property division, paternity suits, defense and prosecution of domestic violence matters, child support, and family law appeals ^[2]. The firm gives particular attention to difficult child custody cases and to the needs and interests of children in divorce proceedings, and states that its hourly rate structure is intended to keep specialized family-law representation within reach, including for clients who are financially disadvantaged ^[2]. In addition to his legal training, Karney holds an M.B.A. from Temple University.
