Herb Fox

Herb Fox was admitted to the State Bar of California on December 11, 1986, and holds an active license under bar number 126747. He is a graduate of Golden Gate University School of Law, is certified as a legal specialist in Appellate Law by the State Bar of California, and lists appellate practice as a self-reported practice area. ^[1]

Fox operates the Law Office of Herb Fox in Santa Barbara, handling appeals and writs throughout California. He was certified as an Appellate Law Specialist in 1998, has been appellate counsel of record in over 275 state and federal appellate proceedings, and previously served as a research attorney for the California Court of Appeal. ^[2]

He has written 85 articles on appellate law and procedure for publications including the Los Angeles Daily Journal and the Los Angeles Times. Fox is a former officer of the Los Angeles County Bar Association's Appellate Courts Section, a former director of the Santa Barbara County Bar Association, and since 2015 has served on the California Lawyers Association Appellate Courts Section Executive Committee. ^[2]
