Alan Donato

Alan Joseph Donato was admitted to the State Bar of California in 2009 and holds an active license under bar number 264755.^[1]

Donato practices criminal defense at Donato Legal Group, Inc. in Sacramento. He opened his own criminal defense practice in 2010 and represents clients across the range of criminal litigation, from initial charges through complex cases.^[2] Before entering private practice, he worked for the Sacramento County District Attorney's Office, giving him experience on both the prosecution and defense sides of criminal law.^[2]

Donato received his Juris Doctor from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, where he graduated Order of the Coif, a distinction limited to the top ten percent of the class, and with Great Distinction. He also earned a Certificate in Oral Advocacy and was nominated to the Order of the Barristers for trial skills and oral advocacy.^[2]
