Patrick Hammon is a partner in the litigation practice of Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP, based in the firm's Silicon Valley office. He represents clients in complex civil litigation matters, including intellectual property, securities litigation, and high-stakes commercial disputes, as well as in criminal defense, investigation, and regulatory matters.

According to the firm, Hammon's representative experience includes obtaining dismissal for an international delivery service company of federal criminal charges, obtaining summary judgment for professional sports teams in a class action brought by former players, securing a $28.5 million jury verdict on behalf of a flash memory company against a patent licensee, and obtaining decertification of a consumer class action against a Silicon Valley technology company. He has taught as a professor at Berkeley Law School and Lincoln Law School of San Jose, served as a commissioner on California's Judicial Nominees Evaluation Committee, and served as secretary and trustee of the Santa Clara County Bar Association.

Hammon has been recognized for commercial litigation in an annual peer-review legal directory from 2024 through 2026, was named to a Silicon Valley Business Journal list of lawyers under 40 in 2018, and received a California Lawyer Attorney of the Year (CLAY) Award for white collar criminal defense in 2017. He earned his J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles, School of Law and his B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley. He is admitted in California and before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Central Districts of California.
